Traffic Impact Fee Advisory Committee - Positions Open

Volunteers throughout Marshall Township enhance the quality of life for all of our residents by sharing their time and talents.   Below, is a listing of all open positions:

Traffic Impact Fee Advisory Committee:  There are two open positions on the Marshall Township Traffic Impact Fee Advisory Committee (TIFAC).  The TIFAC is a seven-member committee appointed by the Marshall Township Board of Supervisors.  


The TIFAC meets Annually, typically in November and the duties are:


  • Review of transportation capital improvements and impact fee charge based on:
    1. Subsequent new development which has occurred in the Township;
    2. Completion of capital improvements in the transportation capital improvements;
    3. Unavoidable delays in construction of capital improvements contained in the transportation capital improvements beyond the TOWNSHIP'S control or responsibility;
    4. Significant changes in land use assumptions;
    5. Changes in the estimated costs of the transportation improvements proposed which may be recalculated by applying the construction cost index as published in the American City/County Magazine or the Engineering News Record, provided however, the Board upon the recommendation of the Township Traffic Engineer may instruct the TIFAC to utilize another method; or
    6. Significant changes in the projected revenue from sources listed. 
  • To make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors regarding:  land use assumptions, the development of comprehensive road improvements, impact fees, the modification of the capital improvement program, to conduct public hearings with respect to any recommendations on land use assumptions, to prepare a roadway sufficiency analysis, and to propose changes to the Manager’s Regulations as needed.  


The TIFAC is advised by the Township Transportation Engineer Trans Associates.  To be considered for the TFIAC you must be a resident of Marshall Township, Own property in Marshall Township, or be involved with a business or development within the Township.
